Try this fantastic Pizza with Artichokes and Fennel Salami made using only the best ingredients specially selected by Simon Johnson.
Ingredients
Pizza Dough
- 1 kg Strong flour 000
- 500 ml Warm water
- 15 g Dried yeast
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- Pinch of Salt
- Simon Johnson everyday olive oil
- Semolina to dust the bottom of the tray
Pizza Toppings
- Simon Johnson Pasta Sauce with Basil
- Sommariva Pitted Black Olives
- Elementi Artichokes
- Salumi Australia Fennel Salami
- Shaw River Buffalo Mozzarella
- Fresh Basil to garnish
Instructions
Pizza Dough
- Preheat the oven to 200C until hot
- Mix flour, yeast, sugar & salt in a large bowl and gradually add the warm water
- Knead into a firm ball, tipping the dough onto a clean bench to really work the dough
- Coat a clean bowl with a little olive oil, place dough into the bowl and cover with cling wrap
- Rest for a minimum of 20-30 mins
- Scatter two baking trays with semolina
- Turn dough out of bowl and divide into two portions
- Press dough evenly onto trays, keep them rustic & rectangular (if prefferred)
Pizza Toppings
- Layer the top of pizza dough with tomato sauce with basil
- Scatter with black pitted olives & artichokes
- Add the fennel salami and gently tear the buffalo mozzarella over the top of the pizzas
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 mins until golden brown around the edges of the crust and cheese has begun to melt through.
- Garnish with torn fresh basil
